There are a variety of reasons for choosing private instruction or coaching.
Maybe you've just bought a kayak and are wondering how to get in (or out!) with grace .. and you really don't want anyone else around to see that! Maybe you've been out with others and realize that you need to improve your technique in order to keep up.
Or perhaps you've been paddling for a while and now you'd like to have a skills class/assessment to get feedback on technique and move to the next level. Perhaps you've decided it is now time to learn how to roll. Or maybe you've been wondering about those long skinny paddles and would like to try out some traditional / inuit skills. You might also be planning a kayak trip with your family or camp and you're wondering just how to go about that... Or perhaps you have had an injury or illness that requires you to adapt your equipment or techniques and you'd like to do that privately.
And, perhaps you just happen to like your partner, family, friends,co-workers and they're the folks with whom you'd like to spend some time.
Private instruction and coaching will increase your skills and give you the confidence you need to join other paddlers who you think know more than you. (By the way, that is not always true!)
In most cases, we can come to you and launch from your favorite spot. We also like to use private classes to introduce people to the many wonderful launch sites in our area, places that you will want to return to again and again.
