If the class is cancelled because of an emergency on our part you will receive a full refund.
If you cancel for any reason on your part by noon on the Wednesday before the class, you will receive full credit toward another class or tour for the remainder of the current season.
Credit will otherwise be applied as follows in the days before the class:
Between noon Wednesday and noon Thursday receive 50% credit for future class/tour
Between noon Thursday and noon Friday receive 25% credit for future class/tour
If you cancel after noon Friday no credit will be given.
If you cancel the morning of because you have a hangover, I will donate your fee to an appropriate non-profit. (yeah... it's happened)
We do not cancel classes for rain. ... dah! it's a water sport... However, if conditions are unsafe (wind, waves, thunder, lightning) at the time and place of launch ... the class will be delayed until conditions improve. If we cannot get in at least 2 hours of a 3 hour class you will receive a pro-rated refund or credit. You must show up for the class at the designated start time and place in order to get this refund or credit.
It honestly hurt my head a little to put this policy together... but because of a number of late cancellations and no shows, I've needed to provide a little added incentive.
To those of you who feel a little fear about kayaking or who are just not morning people, hopefully once you get going and we are out on the water you will be glad you followed through...pretty sure it will go that way....
