QUICK START YOUR KAYAK (KAYAK BASICS)-  Quick Start is an American Canoe Association course designed to help you learn the paddle strokes necessary to maneuver safely and comfortably in still water - forward, backward, and sideways!  We call it Kayak Basics, because in this class you will learn the basics about paddle strokes as well as boats and paddles, safety, and how to dress for the water.

BRACING & RESCUES aka "Next Time"  This is a 3-hour class for people who have already taken a Quick Start or other intro class and who said they'd fall out their kayak and learn how to get back in "next time".  Focus is on bracing to avoid capsizing, controlled capsizing and self- and assisted rescues (paddle float and t-rescues).  Dress to get wet and expect to have fun!  You can also take this class before taking Quick Start, if you're that kind of person.  Location may vary depending on water conditions.
